Have you ever felt so eager to connect with someone that you’re anticipating every scenario that could happen? ⁣

You’re obsessed but you play it cool. ⁣

Like a naked hanger you offer the frame of your desire for someone to lay upon.⁣

Justin wrote and produced this song with his friend Jonathan Jones upon hearing a few moody chords on Jones’ childhood upright piano. Justin brought a beat beneath them and the sensitive swagger of Hang It Up was born. Being an avid student of contrast, Justin then shifted to a Billy Joel style groove on the chorus, thus juxtaposing the two polarities of obsession and nonchalance. Another friend fo theirs, Scott McKay Gibson, swooped in at the final production to wrap the sonic vision with a bow.
